after a short hiatus....

...i'm back!

life had just gotten too busy the last while with the move an' all. but i'm unpacked...sort of. hopefully i'll get back on track now.

last night we celebrated st patty's day with a guinness at the local. jason wore his kelly's beer and brawn tshirt i bought him. thought it was appropriate since his last name is kelly.


here are my new glasses....yes i said glasses....i'm officially old ;)

more hazards on the Coquihalla

for the last few days jason’s been fixing his car. he took 3 days holiday time and is held up in his friend Jim's garage putting a new transmission in...among other things. the poor old thing got hit by something that put a big hole in it when he was on the Coquihalla sunday.

did you know that it’s family day today in alberta, ontario and saskatchewan? it’s also presidents day down in the US. what about the rest of us poor slobs? we should get a holiday too.

oh well...i’m off sick today anyway...i can’t believe how sick i am...flu i guess...not fun and worrisome since i really need to be getting ready for my move.

some good news to report today....we're doing a season 5...and the studio's not moving!! so that means when i move to jason's i'll be doing a 5 min commute for at least a year!! good news indeed.

ok..i'm gonna put another ice pack on my head...it actually helps.

january 30th 2009...

I have the hugest urge to write tonight.it just came over me while in a nice relaxing lavender Epson salts bath.

not sure why.I can't Jason's computer to work right now and I can't find any paper in his house...so I'm tapping this out on my blackberry

I'm waiting for them....them being Jason and his kids (Liam and Owen)... from what has turned into their bi-weekly drive to hope and back for seemingly no reason.

Jason piles them into his 91 jetta....a shit box really....cracks in the window...juice box stuffed into the air intake valve, fresh dent in the back from last week’s rear endender. the front grill zap zapped strapped on and his headliner in his bedroom. at almost 400k this car is a real mess. But he loves it....and his is in the process of fixing it up....give him that if your judging. At least he knows how to fix his own car. A thing I was very glad of on that snowy boxing day when he pulled a McGiver on the side of highway 1. somewhere between hope and Vancouver... He stuffed the juice box in and a piece of wood in the grill....and off we went.

So I guess your wondering why he goes to hope for no reason....sounds kind of foolish...and it is...his ex Michelle is suppose to meet them there every other weekend...but bc she's basically, for lack of a better word.... insaine....she doesn't always show. The court says he has to go...so he does...and so it goes.

And here I am....writing, hanging out...hoping Jason's computer goes back on...eating a chicken and mash potato sandwhich...which is surprisingly good actually...and Listening 80s tunes on the TV radio station....the headpins.."don't it make ya feel"....hmmm....not so good ;)

January = Busy

busy busy busy.....

sorry my post have be few and far between....and sorta lame of late.

i have lots of stuff on the go this month.

tax deadline...yes i'm late again surprise! ;) also i'm downsizing....by quite a bit...trying to get ride of stuff i don't need or want. the plan is to move to new west with my man jason and his wee men owen and liam march 1st. i have alot of crap...and his place is pretty small so we'll see how i do.

i've also been looking at cars i've had it with the blind spots and back aches i get from my element and thinking of trading in. probably won't happen until my hiatus...but it take a long time to do test drives etc....so i fugure i should start now.

we shall see how it all on folds....

anyway, i've been frantically getting rid of stuff in the last few days. a new years clean out i suppose. trying to get rid of all the clothes and stuff i don't want. there's alot....i have 4 bags for salvation army...at least two for consignment and there's more. thats just the winter stuff!! eeekkk

this will obviously continue into the new year...

goodbye jazz.....

jazz went to fight with chloe in kitty heaven last thurday night...it was time...

the place feels wierd with no cats. makes me miss chloe a bit more too....those guys were connected in my mind i think.

i have to say....

poor old jazz is on her last legs. turns out she does have cancer...on her face. the doctor says it's a fast spreading one. i looks a bit bigger every day. i'm just watching her to see how she is everyday.

yes a little snow graced us this weekend and as usual the people of vancouver are acting like they've never seen any before....

i love it. :) makes puts me in a very xmas-y frame of mind.


also this weekend was the worse scooter rally ever club's xmas party. jason had his kids so i went on my own. it was a fairly tame party for the scooter gang...but fun never the less.

sunday we drove to pick up the kids at his ex’s grandmas place in langley. we had missed the xmas parade that day but were treated to our own parade on the 99. i guess the floats were going “home” ....

low key is the word

fairly low key weekend really.... especially for a long weekend...but that was the plan.

i took this weekend as a catch up on life's stuff as well as relax a little.

got lots done....which makes me feels better. lots more to do...but at least it doesn't all seem so impossible. that's the main thing really.

now i'm making myself a nice little lamb chop and lentil dinner. yummmm...

fyi...i still have no results on jazz. they will get the biopsy results on tues. so more on that later.

since i had the day off today for american thanksgiving. thought i'd take the opportunity to visit jay at work. kinda nice to get to see where he spends his days.

jazz update....

jazz had her operation, which went well...but sadly it looks like she may have kidney failure...maybe even cancer. nothings for sure yet. i will no more in a few days.

jazzykins goes to the vet

poor old jazz had to go to the vet tonight...and let me tell you....she was super unhappy about it! bit and scratched the vet.
it looks like she might have an infected tooth that's causing an abscess.

lets face it...jazz is old. i'm not sure how old...lost track along time ago. i figure she's about 17....that's my best guess. she doesn't really clean herself so much anymore...so she smells pretty bad. she crys at 6am everyday to be fed...even though i feed her in the evening. i think she may be senile. also...she doesn't always make it to the kitty litter...so i have to put down puppy pads all around it. a bit of a pain....but oh well...that's what you do when your cats old.


anyway because she's so old they will do a blood test first to see if she is healthy enough to have it operated on. i'll find out tomorrow....

finally a moment....

finally have a lull in a very busy...very stressful week.

work has been insane. a pace i just don’t feel i can keep up. then when the weekend comes and i have a million and one things to catch up on.

oh boy...

next week thank good...is a short 3-dayer for me. we have thursday and friday off for american thanksgiving. i’ll be a catch up weekend for sure.

had my daily visit with ani at the hospital and she's seems alot better!! tubes are gone...she was out of bed...walking around w/ a smile on her face. :)

doctors say she might be able to go home tomorrow or the next day....yippie!!!

ani had her surgery the day before yesterday and is on the slow road to recovery. she's most likely going to be in the hospital for 4 more days to a week.

in a blink of an eye...

where'd the weekend go? the last one it seemed so short...

i had lots of good stuff in the middle...but it started kinda bad with me loosing my my car keys afterwork for about 30mins...then ended very bad with my good buddy ani going to the hospital.

when by to see her tonight again and she ain't looking good that's for sure. they're not sure what's wrong with her yet. whatever it is...i hope she get's better soon :(

sunday night i did a nice big dinner with jason, ani, liz, michael and anne. everything turned out really well. i learned i can make a darn good turkey...but need to work on timing and gravy....thanks to ani's help it all turn out great. also and i need some kitchen things! were the heck are all my kitchen utensils?!
