ok...maybe that number isn't significant ....but it's alot.

i was looking threw old posts and realised what a cool reference this is. looking back can be interesting. your prospective has changed...since YOU have changed. you wouldn't write that post today...but it's what you felt at the moment. interesting to see how you relate to it all now.

i haven't kept up with the blog that well lately..and i'm sorry about that. life has been too crazy. i find myself craving something a bit simpler. work has been stressful ....not so much for me...but for my co-workers...which i feel rubs off on me.

labour day is coming up...and we all know that feeling of fall. wanting to be cosy and maybe watch a movie...drink some wine. i feel myself thinking about new possibilities ...second chances. my mind wondering....do i dare dream those things again that i once dreamed and were lost? it can be a scary prospect for sure...but i just might. i just might allow myself that....

blogger update....

life has gotten away from me lately and just haven't been able to fit in any updates...sorry about that.

so here's a few highlights from the last few weeks....

liz and i went to the terminal city roller derby the weekend before last...that was a blast!






afterwards we went to grease and grind and saw a few funky cars...




the next day we went to the the show 'n shine at the italian cultural center


this dog wasn't so impressed w/ the show...


last weekend i went to seattle their lindy exchange. that was lots of fun. stayed with brenda as usual...


sunday was the outdoor dance...

well that's kinda the last few weeks. this weekend was pretty low key. a friend found someone to help me with my vespa...which is awesome... should running better soon. went for coffee a few times and a few rides on the jazz...that's about it.

busy weekend

it was a busy weekend for sure.

ani moved back in temporarily...rob is moving to alberta and she needed somewhere to stay for a couple of months...just till she gets herself on her feet. i offered right away b/c last time she stayed i quite liked the company. after 4 years of living alone...it was nice. so i spent alot of the weekend cleaning and organising so she has a bit of space transforming my office into her bedroom.

also this weekend my friend jimmy had a mini scooter rally which i participated in. managed to get the vespa out on friday night. saturday unfortunately it was acting up. she still needs it's over hall poor gal and it's been a challenge to find a good mechanic that has the time to put into her.

long week

seems like a long week for me...creeping by. worked mostly but managed to get a bit of vespa practice in...and some socializing. was a bit too tired to head to showboat tonight so i decided to just hang at home w/ the puppy.

ani was giving me riding tips this week...i'm getting better at the gears etc....but the girl needs a little tune up still.

had a nice day today hanging with some scooter buddies. went for breaky and a few rides. we meet up with ani on her norton at jj's on main st. we had quite the selection of bikes going there for awhile.

my new...old...baby!

ok...i did it! after looking for a little while i finally found a wee small frame 64 vespa, 90cc, just my size. ...make that '65...i think. the girl i bought it from thought it was a '64...but the insurance say's '65 :)

she's a bit of a beater...but has a great engine...i think lol...and she can be prettied up if i decide to


liz knows her vespas. she came to check things out with me. here she is demonstrating it's lightness....


i'll be keeping the jazz for a while yet...i need to practice on this one and get my full license. before that i'm not allowed to ride it unsupervised......technically...;)

911

ok so the doctor said i need to keep my stress levels down.

last night i had to call 911 because of an acute asthma attack. never had anything like that before. i had read an upsetting email just prior to it and have been having breathing problems for several weeks....but i think the stress of the last week was just too much.

so today i had a bunch of tests done and they want to do more. i'll be taking the next few days of work for sure...maybe the rest of the week...we'll see how it goes.

have a happy canada day tomorrow everyone...

i have the odd ability

.....i guess you can call it a ability. think i may have always had it. i take on the emotions of people i care about.....positive and negative alike. that’s why some people are toxic for me...others good. i have to stay away from negative people but it makes me negative...it’s weird.

i must have been bad i my last life....

i have to say....i think this is probably one of the worse weeks i've had in a very long time. it was bad work wise and personally ....stresses everywhere i turned.

i have the feeling it's not over...

the stress

it's been a stressful few days. not just b/c of work but it was a factor for sure.it seems to get harder harder all the time and not sure how much i can take.

not a good sign for day2...not a good sign at all.

back to work

today was back to work for me. another 10 months of supernatural....oh boy.

i passed!

i took my learners motorcycle text today...and i passed!! yippe. :) now i am looking to buy a bike with gears and a little bigger engine...most likely vintage vespa...learn to ride it then get my license.

i'm back

san fran was fine. got back after a 24hr drive on the coastal ride....which i did most of the driving. it was a good time.

not right now anyways....

i decided the guy was being dick....so i walked away from the deal. i have to feel good about who i give my hard earned casholla to.

oh well...i will keep looking and i have friends that are looking for me too...so one will turn up hopefully by the end of the summer.

wonder when summer's coming....

fairly low key weekend. friday went to an art show at harbour view. 1st time i'd been up there....great view of vancouver
...the art...well, not my taste

afterwards i went to the railway to check out a friends band, swank. that was good fun. another friend' band, the cadaver dogs were also playing but i was too tired to stay for that. they go on soooo late! i left at 1am and swank had just finished. guess i'm getting old.

saturday night i was suppose to go swing dancing but the weather put me in a funk i think and decided to stay home. today...didn't do much... groceries, dog walk...to cold to go on the scooter.

i did manage to get out on friday with ani before the weather turned....
