fastest little doggie...

i'm starting to think charlie is the fastest little doggie on the planet. when i take her for walks she wants to run....and she's fast!! i might have to buy actual runners. and maybe a better bra.. hehe ;)

sunday bloody sunday....

ok..maybe it wasn't bloody.

i didn't' really do much. was suppose to look at cars but honestly have to say i don't relish the thought of dealing with sexist car dealers alone. so i didn't. maybe i drag someone to go with me in a few weekends now. i really do need a new car...my current one just isn't good for my job right now.

one thing i did do today was go for coffee with my friend rebecca. she's on the rocks with her guy...so we chatted about the sad state of dating in vancouver. i think i might have bummed her out instead of cheering her up....sorry becks. we had a nice time anyway.

when i’m working...my weekends turn into these crazy days...where i strive...usually unsuccessfully....to get shit done. that was today....



...it was vet, try to go to granville island but no parking, dentist, back to granville island...this time success, nap, ani’s for bbq and some puppy play. then pats pub for some rock -a-billy action with some friends of ani’s the slick jacks....aweome band. i also bumped into heather and some of her gang there which is always fun.

rob just bought a vintage pickup...i think it's 1968. it was fun to ride in...


i was happy i could wear my new red shoes tonight....

thursday is my favourite day of the week....

it's thursday night...and a clear eve...so that means showboat! it's such a great stress reliever for me and tonight seemed like an especially good one. i bring charlie with me. everyone loves her and all want to hold her. it's a good time.

the search continues...

i've tired stepping up my search for the partner i feel sure must be out there...my match...so far to no avail.

sure i've had dates....but nothing seem to come of them for one reason or another. i'm either the pickiest person on earth...or just completely undatable...not sure which yet. i am picky.c..and my taste is odd...i do know this. but come on...should it really be this hard?? it's fucking depressing....everyone around me seems to find someone...no problem. why can't i?

it can really make me feel sad and lonely at times.

if i didn't have my charlie and ani right now...i really don't know what i would do. i went over to ani's the other night after work and ani made me and rob dinner...charlie and sophie played. to me that was the pefect night. it made me feel so happy and loved to have a great friends to relax with after a hard day.

this is the trailer for a show the dancers put on in seattle for camp jitterbug weekend in may. it was a pretty amazing show put on by mostly amateur dancers and teachers. those americans really know how to put on a show that's for sure...

my friend corie put on a limited edition tshirt, art show this evening. i went...ani and rob joined me. saw many people that i hadn’t seen in awhile...it was a fun night.

my original plan was to go for a 1/2hour then go dancing...but i ended up staying till almost midnight! that’s ok...

i sat and listened to that song...a few times tonight. i put it up loud...really listened. i just love that song...it brings up so many memories and emotions...painful beautiful...sad...sensual...

sean and i went down to the court house to sign the papers for our divorce today...it was fine. it will take 6-8 weeks for the paperwork to be processed..then it’s a divorce party for both me and ani..(she got her papers signed wednesday :)

sean got a little emotional...especially when i showed him my tattoos. i hadn't told him about them. he got a bottle of italian champagne the other day called tessa rose and says he wants to share it with me. maybe we can be friends again..i hope.

lots of shoes...

today i bought 22 pairs of shoes. that's my job...

then i went to showboat with a little stop at the japanese place o go to in kits. i sat on the patio with charlie. it was nice...but i have to say i miss the days when i had someone to go to dinner with before showboat. sometimes i would go with roger...or lucky or garn and his friends. now i guess i go with charlie...but it's not the same.

i also miss hugs when i'm tired.

...that's what i miss.

today was alot of catching up with errands etc. but i did manage to meet up with ani and rob at bean around the world and check out garn's photos of "maybe arizona". they looked amazing. i had seen most before. i even have one garn gave me for xmas. but there is something special about seeing them all together on the wall...framed nicely...the lighting was good for them on the reflective paper.

friday the 13th...

it was a hard busy week...last week...so lots of relaxation is reqiured for this weekend.



afterwork last night i meet with ani and went to the jem gallery to look at art by holly ruth and socialize a bit. i brought charlie and she was the life of the party...everyone had to pet her.

i quite liked some of holly's work...i especially like this line drawing


they had cupcakes and ani wanted one bad...

it's a dog's life...

mum and dad sent me these today. they're pretty cute...



they forgot piss, shit and 2:30am- try to wake up owner for some play time... ;)

dates....

today was a date of significance for me i guess...it would have been my 10th wedding anniversary! wow. can’t believe it was that long ago. sean and i thought it was a brilliant idea at the time...and i’m sure it all played out the way it was suppose to.

anyway...now i’m here.

i bumped into someone at work today, i hadn’t seen for about 5years...since we worked on undercover. it surprised me and made me think back to those days. i have changed so much since then...it really is almost unbelievable.

anyway...i like where i am now much better....

sorry i'm so lame on my blogging updates. busy back to work..being a film gal. it's been ok so far. i'm full time...which will take some getting use to...but we're set up pretty good..season 3 and all.

today ani and rob took charlie for the day..they had a fun outing to white rock....she's wiped and asleep on my shoulders.

apparently she had a little poo fest in rob's car and on ani...which they were good enough to take in stride...and laugh off! hehehe...think she may have a new nick name...the poo machine.

the psychic network and the weekend

last night i went out to see my friend doug's band...the cadaver dogs...at the railway. ani and rob came along as well. it was a fun night..we left early...didn't stay for the last band. i was tired and ani had to work today.


today ani got a call from TO..it was her granny's 90th birthday yesterday and she's in the hospital...in bad shape. ani was feeling really down about it...so she took off work early and we had a nice tea and visit and bbq'd...hopefully cheered her up a bit.

i had another psychic network accourance. check this one out....

that's on charlie's food dish which was only down for a few minutes. starting to think i might need to get in a real psychic...to see what's going on.

charlie update...

charlie did 3 days this week w/ judy hanging with the big dogs while i was at work..seems like she's doing fine there.

i caught jazz kissing her nose yesterday...i think she secretly likes her. they hang out on my chair at the same time...charlie has taken to sleeping on my shoulders...she's kinda like a magic bag! hehe




her ears have gone up...so now she looks like she's part bunny...instead of part mouse....



she's also getting more confident and as a consequence of that...becoming a scallywag. hehe :) here she is balancing on an tube shaped cushion...i think agility maybe in her future.

sad news...

and a little reminder. that life sucks at times....

i was sorry to hear about this today (from dad via uncle ian). even though i'm not sure if i have met drussie...but i do remember doug. i remember him being a nice man and sad for him that he has to go through this...


Doug Peers was my dad's late sister Rosemary's husband. Drussie was his second wife....

Pat, Doug's wife, has had a serious fall down stairs at Drusie's Son's place in London, hit her head on a radiator at the foot of the stairs and fractured her skull. Now they've switched off the life-support systems...


it hard hard thing to do. as some of you may know i had to do a similar thing for someone i loved. but you do it. you do it b/c you love the person. it's just that simple...

my thoughts go out to doug...and his family.

10months. minus a day...

i'm tired....my body aches. day 1 of work finished....10 months to go...

one thing...my puppy made coming home, oh so much sweeter. i took her to the park and we played. she did pretty good on her first day with judy (she's my dog walker...the same one that always took kimba and daisy:) she's made big bucks off me over the years. oh well...my animals are worth it...i think.

today i hung and with ani. we took the doggies to the park...we had coffee...we did groceries at sunrise....we bbqed and becky dropped by for a bit that was nice...

first breakfast at the kings head with the usual suspects then granville island with anne and walked around a bit...checked out some canada day festivities.

i was actually at granville island twice today...went back to see bria’s hot 5. a bunch of dancers came and we lindy-bombed. lot’s of action for charlie...but she’s getting the hang of things i think.
