so..things have been pretty slow since i’ve been back. my tummy has been a bit funny and i guess i’m jetlagged...so ya...i’m taking it easy. haven’t unpacked, yet i’ve done my laundry....hey how does that work??.. ..it’s a secret!

i went to dinner at garnet’s favourite restaurant tonight and met a bunch of his friends...it was nice as always.

i think i’m just going to go to bed early with a book. just started reading again on my holidays. i read a book that was a real tear jerker...for me anyway....maybe not others. i really liked it and recommend it...”the 5 people you meet in heaven” by mitch albom. i don’t recommend reading it on the plane though. oh well.

i might mention this book again soon....keep posted.

ok....so i’m here i am in zurich airport. my bag full of swiss chocolate, danish vodka and a few other odds and sods. i’ve had some time to kill here. the airports quite nice. lots of shops...no real restaurant though. apparently they make more money on the shopping then the flights...

my flight was delayed for an undetermined amount of time, so they booked me on another flight....hopefully this works. there are only so many flights to vancouver from heathrow a day... so if i miss my connection i am royally fucked! hopefully that won’t happen..trying to be positive.

i’ll check in again when i’m at heathrow...if i get there...knock on wood.

ok....i ran to the flight at heathrow and made it just in time to board. the flight was full and i got an isle..which in a way was ok..easy to get up...don’t know what i did on flights pre ipod...it’s my travel buddy now.

ok buckle up, it's off to the land of yoga and hiking gear as casual wear....hippies....and hollywood north...

so it's my last night in zurich. took it kinda easy today. my poor little body was a bit sore after yesterdays craziness. i went by some of the fountains we took photos at to see if my dance shoes were there...but they weren't. there was a old clothing donation box at one of the places we stopped....maybe that's where they ended up....that would be funny if my dance shoes ended up on the selves of the local charity shop. wonder what a really used pair for lindy shoes go for in swiss francs?? probably more than i paid....

anyway...this evening we went for dinner at a nice indian restaurant...took a few more fountain pics.... then home....and tomorrow will be home...my home. two flights...zurich london then london vancouver....i will sleep alot.

sacrifice....

so after our crazy 4hrs tour during the day yesterday. we cleaned off the cow shit and managed to get up enough energy to go out for dinner then coffee at the night market and a wee look at some crafts...oh ya and there are some great bars and disco’s on the river so we headed there joined up with a few fellow swing dancers..no swing dancing though. we were feeling a bit tired for that..oh well next time.

the only bad thing about last night was...it seems i may have given up my dancing shoes for sacrifice to the gods of dancing.....crap...we were taking pics of fountains last night...(you will see those later)...on the way home and i think i put them down and forgot to pick them up again....not good...i will have to order more on the internet ....a dancer with out her shoes...is a sad thing indeed.

ok..so..i mentioned yesterday about the walking thing...OMG...they were trying to kill me! we walked today for 4hrs...in the hills of switzerland!...i will be in some pain tomorrow!
there was lots of fun to be had...i fell down about 5times (i had the wrong shoes)...got chased by a cow....got rained on...saw some sheep, goats, chickens and lots of cows...oh..and a deer.

lots of walking the streets off zurich today...shopping mostly. i got myself some cool new shoes an awesome “freitag” bag and a top. it was alot of walking...but fun.
tomorrow we will do even more walking with a few of rogers friends, but this time in the mountains in a place called appenzell.... a few hours east of zurich by train...it’s suppose to be beautiful...i think they are trying to kill me.... we have to get up early so not too much swiss beer tonight...

hey....i’m in zurich!! it’s pretty fun here. we went for pasta last night them some multi media art thingy...it was a nice introduction to zurich. roger made me order beers in swiss german...i bet i have a great accent ..lol

this afternoon we went for brunch at a friends place, on the roof top in the old part of zurich..then we did a little sight seeing...
zurich is a beautiful and relaxing place. i like it here.
