OMG....i just got back from swing dancing in london...and i'm here to say...it's the best!! the best of anywhere i have been so far!
i've been dancing in some damn fine places..but london has them beat. if in nothing else but spirit. there are some good advanced dancers and alot af great intermediate. intermediate in my mind is better...for one reason...they are not afraid of making fools of themselves...which is key in swing dancing. it's all about making a fool of yourself and having way too much fun while you're doing it.
another really fun thing about the scene is it was very international. i danced with people from; london, NY, california, australia, france and canada...i think that's it...but you get the picture....and every one was very open and friendly.
i will definitely come back to london to dance..that's for sure. thank you geoff for introducing me to a great scene..and i will see you soon in vancouver.
earlier today i had a great time raoming the streets of london with mishi and the garbs..that was fun. we went to worlds end and some other stores on kings road then to the tate modern, for some art of the modern kind. oh...and we bought chocolate....yummm....i'm eating mine now!!
ok..so that was the end of my trip to london...off to zurich in the morning!! yeah! can't wait to see roger and do some dancing there.
oh...side note...got an email from diane today...supernatural got picked up...she still thinks i'm coming back to work...ohOhoH..well...we will see. i'm just going to say right now that i'm being careful with my money for now...
