where's the time go?

anyway, i've been frantically getting rid of stuff in the last few days. a new years clean out i suppose. trying to get rid of all the clothes and stuff i don't want. there's alot....i have 4 bags for salvation army...at least two for consignment and there's more. thats just the winter stuff!! eeekkk

this will obviously continue into the new year...

goodbye jazz.....

jazz went to fight with chloe in kitty heaven last thurday night...it was time...

the place feels wierd with no cats. makes me miss chloe a bit more too....those guys were connected in my mind i think.

i have to say....

poor old jazz is on her last legs. turns out she does have cancer...on her face. the doctor says it's a fast spreading one. i looks a bit bigger every day. i'm just watching her to see how she is everyday.

yes a little snow graced us this weekend and as usual the people of vancouver are acting like they've never seen any before....

i love it. :) makes puts me in a very xmas-y frame of mind.


also this weekend was the worse scooter rally ever club's xmas party. jason had his kids so i went on my own. it was a fairly tame party for the scooter gang...but fun never the less.

it wasn't all xmas stuff this weekend. jason i managed to have a nice dinner at zakkushi...my favourite japanese restaurant in town. did a little shopping...droped by jim cumming art show. jason bought a nice little piece. sorry...i forgot to take a picture. stay tuned on that one




sunday we drove to pick up the kids at his ex’s grandmas place in langley. we had missed the xmas parade that day but were treated to our own parade on the 99. i guess the floats were going “home” ....



looks like it's going to be a nice christmas....

low key is the word

fairly low key weekend really.... especially for a long weekend...but that was the plan.

i took this weekend as a catch up on life's stuff as well as relax a little.

got lots done....which makes me feels better. lots more to do...but at least it doesn't all seem so impossible. that's the main thing really.

now i'm making myself a nice little lamb chop and lentil dinner. yummmm...

fyi...i still have no results on jazz. they will get the biopsy results on tues. so more on that later.

since i had the day off today for american thanksgiving. thought i'd take the opportunity to visit jay at work. kinda nice to get to see where he spends his days.

jazz update....

jazz had her operation, which went well...but sadly it looks like she may have kidney failure...maybe even cancer. nothings for sure yet. i will no more in a few days.

jazzykins goes to the vet

poor old jazz had to go to the vet tonight...and let me tell you....she was super unhappy about it! bit and scratched the vet.
it looks like she might have an infected tooth that's causing an abscess.

lets face it...jazz is old. i'm not sure how old...lost track along time ago. i figure she's about 17....that's my best guess. she doesn't really clean herself so much anymore...so she smells pretty bad. she crys at 6am everyday to be fed...even though i feed her in the evening. i think she may be senile. also...she doesn't always make it to the kitty litter...so i have to put down puppy pads all around it. a bit of a pain....but oh well...that's what you do when your cats old.


anyway because she's so old they will do a blood test first to see if she is healthy enough to have it operated on. i'll find out tomorrow....

it's a wonderful thing. :)

finally a moment....

finally have a lull in a very busy...very stressful week.

work has been insane. a pace i just don’t feel i can keep up. then when the weekend comes and i have a million and one things to catch up on.

oh boy...

next week thank good...is a short 3-dayer for me. we have thursday and friday off for american thanksgiving. i’ll be a catch up weekend for sure.

had my daily visit with ani at the hospital and she's seems alot better!! tubes are gone...she was out of bed...walking around w/ a smile on her face. :)

doctors say she might be able to go home tomorrow or the next day....yippie!!!

the ani update...

ani had her surgery the day before yesterday and is on the slow road to recovery. she's most likely going to be in the hospital for 4 more days to a week.

in a blink of an eye...

where'd the weekend go? the last one it seemed so short...

i had lots of good stuff in the middle...but it started kinda bad with me loosing my my car keys afterwork for about 30mins...then ended very bad with my good buddy ani going to the hospital.

when by to see her tonight again and she ain't looking good that's for sure. they're not sure what's wrong with her yet. whatever it is...i hope she get's better soon :(

goodtimes were had by all at the pumpkin patch saturday. i had never been so i talked jason into driving us all out to maple ridge saturday.

then it was rockabilly round up sat night with our friend stuart playing with slim sandy



sunday night i did a nice big dinner with jason, ani, liz, michael and anne. everything turned out really well. i learned i can make a darn good turkey...but need to work on timing and gravy....thanks to ani's help it all turn out great. also and i need some kitchen things! were the heck are all my kitchen utensils?!

had a nice little buzz around the 'hood on the vespa tonight...man that scoot is fun! hoping the weather stays good so i can get the first part of my license soon.

i have to say....what an incredible weekend!

i went from taking friday off work with a cold...then a miraculous recovery that i chalk up to rest, oregano oil and cold fx.

saturday took the day slow.... hanging out with jason. then in the evening we went to shelly’s 10th annual 30th birthday at the afghan horseman. joelle was our server who i haven’t seen in years so that was a little odd but nice.

afterwards jason and i decided to take the granville island water taxi then walk threw the downtown saturday mayhem and head to the “new” irish heather. it’s not as good as the old one...way too new looking. we had a awesome time regardless just chatting and drinking pints. turned into a bit of a late night...but what the heck we were enjoying ourselves.


to top off an almost perfect weekend....i got my scooter back and it's running like a charm!!! yippie! :) now i need to get some practice time in before all the winter rain sets in.

it was owen..jason's sons 6th birthday so we all headed down saturday to the bug lab in new west....me jason...and 6 or 7 little boys! it was a fun day.

sorry i have no photos today....

having a pretty nice yet low key weekend so far. right now i'm procrastinating about doing paperwork so updating my blog seemed like a good thing to do.

last night i made a lovely meal for jason and myself. my special lamb chops w/ curry dry rub. jason was without children for the first time in a month so i thought it be nice to make it a relaxing one. "who is this jason guy anyway?"...imagine people saying to themselves. well he's the guy i've been dating lately....and i have to say he's a pretty darn good catch. ;) he has two awesome little boys owen...6 (almost :) and liam 7....who live with him full time except the odd weekend here and there. sorry i have pics....you can put a faces to the names another day.

today after a nice long lie in i meet with ani, liz, mark and some other scooter peps at continental and we went on a lovely ride to deep cove. we stopped at the raven pub. i snuck charlie in her bag...she's an awesome dog for that...no one ever notices her under the table.

what a wonderful sunday i have to say. :) and now....paper work.....

someone reminded me the other day how great laying on the grass feels.

i needed some down time today so after a doggie walk and a coffee at jj’s on main....i went to a park nearby and lay under a fig tree for awhile....it was good. just what i needed.

a little later on i met jason and his kids at a skate park on broadway and we hung out.....

we found this wrecked kids bike at the skate park...so we placed it in the community garden. it looks like garden art now.

everyone was pretty hungry and tired after the park so jason figured the mongolian grill might hit the spot...and it did.

it was a nice day. i should lay in the grass more often...and so should you....
