i'm back

san fran was fine. got back after a 24hr drive on the coastal ride....which i did most of the driving. it was a good time.

here's some highlights of the main event....jello's 50th

rob and jello's mom in the vip box. she was telling us stories of jello's childhood. i asked her when the last time she saw him play was she said "when he was 24...guess that was a while ago"

i decided the guy was being dick....so i walked away from the deal. i have to feel good about who i give my hard earned casholla to.

oh well...i will keep looking and i have friends that are looking for me too...so one will turn up hopefully by the end of the summer.

wonder when summer's coming....

fairly low key weekend. friday went to an art show at harbour view. 1st time i'd been up there....great view of vancouver
...the art...well, not my taste

afterwards i went to the railway to check out a friends band, swank. that was good fun. another friend' band, the cadaver dogs were also playing but i was too tired to stay for that. they go on soooo late! i left at 1am and swank had just finished. guess i'm getting old.

saturday night i was suppose to go swing dancing but the weather put me in a funk i think and decided to stay home. today...didn't do much... groceries, dog walk...to cold to go on the scooter.

i did manage to get out on friday with ani before the weather turned....

jimmy's lambretta is gone.....:(



My friend's Lambretta was stolen from his backyard in North Delta sometime monday.It's a white and grey/green Lambretta TV175. There's black boot scuff marks on the side panels near the front, and a rack on the back with a spare tire. Please keep your eyes peeled for this around Vancouver and ourlying areas!

yesterday i had a nice little ride with ani to jjbeans then to the yale so i could get some dancing done. had my first ride in the rain afterwards....i was a little worried but it was fine.

ani was on her new ‘73 norton commando and i was on my wee scooter....we made quite the odd pair.

ok last night we had a countdown to forty bbq at my friend jimmy’s place in the burbs. jimmy's a scooter riding buddy of mine and he is 39 today...one year left till 40!

so a bunch of us got together to welcome poor old jimmy to adulthood.....ok sort of....

back on the road

busy day today...didn’t get everything done...but got alot.

had my last training session with charlie and were both pooped from that. she's done really well...i was worried that the trainer might give me shit for being to soft on her...but it was all good.

i also washed and got my scooter running again...with ani's help. was worried it might not start...but it seems ok. have to insure it tomorrow b/c i ran out of time. i'm pretty excited to get it back on the road!!

nice spring day

had my semi usual breaky at kings head in kits this morning with brent...then headed to granville isl to see garbs and wish him a belated happy birthday. he wasn't there....but we did see these lovely little duckies....

...and mishi...i'll have to try again tomorrow i guess.


after our extended walk i headed over to the show and shine at the whip on main. wasn't too exciting. i think some of the cars were gone by the time i got there.

today was charlie's birthday and we celabrated with a nice walk at trout lake...and a lovely bone....



charlies been in strict training for the last two weeks so today was the first time in a while she's had any treats...pets or kisses...
i'm really proud of her...she's doing really really well.

tonight was the first showboat of the year and what a great one it was! nice weather...lots of dancers...

before hand a got some tai food with brent...then walked along the beach with charlie...hung out. charlie's doing well with her training and not so freaked out by people...so that's great.:)

it's year 11 of dancing showboat! pretty darn good....


afterwards i went down to the clubhouse for some beers and snacks....what a great evening it was.

timing....

do you ever wonder about timing? if i had or hadn't done this at that time...things would be different?

my timing seems to be off...badly off lately for alot of things these days and wonder how do i get back on track. kinda what my whole staying in town for much my hiatus is about i think. catching up on my life doing those things that need to be done. see if that helps. not trying to pack too much into a small amount of time.

i will do i short road trip in june though. ani and i plan on driving down to san fran via portland my birthday week. it's also happens a good friend of ani's 50th around that time...mr jello biafra. so we're gonna go down there and help him celebrate. he's been kind enough to say we can stay in his modest mansion with our chihuahuas....and i here there's gonna be a big bash!!

got a new camera today.

bought the same one i had before...the canon elph. the last one lasted 6 years...so i figure that's pretty good. the new version is alot smaller and lighter with more pixels.

a little gum surgery

so today i had a little gum surgery. i wasn’t planning on actually getting it done today...just the exam...but the dr said it only take 20mins...so i figure WTF.

so i’m at home now with a frozen mouth...oh well...hopefully it heals fast. i might have to go in agian to have something else done...not sure yet. one thing at a time i guess.

waters back on and i’m finally home. i’m also done work. so i get to have a life again.

today i had to go to the dentist. i have a weird gum thing going on and probably need dental surgery. i really hope this is the last of it....i’m tired.

when i rains....

so i’m wondering what else can go wrong right now. last week along with being sick my kitchen sink started leaking....leaking badly....

then today i got a frantic call at work from ani....i guess a pipe burst and water was coming threw the walls onto the kitchen floor down to the apt below. goodtimes....

so now were sitting here...no water....no shower toilet...nothing....

hopefully it’s gonna’ be fixed tomorrow...otherwise we’ll be two stinky broads.

ani and i have been roomies for only about a week and it's reminded me that it can actually be pretty nice living with another human. if it's the right human that is.

they can be company when you get home...someone to make you tea when your sick...take turns making dinner or taking the garbage out...stuff like that.

today when i got home from work...ani wasn't home...but she had left me a little surprise. she had photo copied the picture of my faile piece i sold and blown it up huge...put it on my wall! what a sweet little surprise!!

home sick with the kyd family

still home sick..hanging with ani, sophie and charlie today. it was a nice sunny day so we had a little walk and coffee at jj beans. it was nice....but about all i could manage today.

tonight is the supernatural wrap party which i’ll be missing...oh well. nothing i can do about it.

charlie and sophie have been having a bit of a power struggle since sophie moved in....but they seem to be selling down now.....i hope. next week charlie starts her remedial training...hoping it helps.

fear of the unknown

lately i feel like i’ve been frozen a little. frozen a little by fear. fear of the unknown.

it seems i would prefer to stay in a place of stress and disease....so much so that it makes me fall sick.

what’s that about?? i have said...in past...that there’s not much i’m afraid of. that’s not really true...not true at all. it comes up and it’s here now.

it’s time to release that fear...and move on...move on into my future.

i’m ready.

i got a roomie! a temporary one. that’s new...

ani’s bf rob...went to alberta to work on the oil rigs and they had to be out before may 1st...and couldn’t find a place so ani moved in with me for the month until she finds a place.

what else....?
i have a cold...that’s also new....

i’ll probably call in sick tomorrow. only a week or so left on the show...and i had a big blow out with diane today...so a day or two off would suit me just fine right now.

that's probably other stuff...but that can wait 'till later.
