i'm doing it!!

i’m going skydiving!!

hehe...i’ve been grinning ear to ear ever since i called to arranged it!

i’ve wanted to go skydiving ever since i was in high school. people in my class went. i couldn’t go b/c my skating coach wouldn’t let me...she said i could break my leg or something...silly. she wouldn’t let me ski either.

anyway, i’ve been thinking about it alot lately and when garnet mentioned that he has a friend that does tandem..i started thinking about even it more.

then...when i was in halifax i was talking to simon and peter about skydiving and i think that solidified it for me. peter said it’s one of the most amazing things he’s ever done.

..and hey...i'm going to get a video made of me doing it. hehehe

i'm doing it this saturday and it's gonna be swweeettt......

tummy ache

i have a super bad tummy ache today. it actaully started yesterday i think. my tummy is so bloated i put my fat jeans on..and i still had the top button undone most of the day!!

i worked anyway...but it wasn’t easy. i took a 1/2hr nap in my car at metrotown mall..that helped a little. weird thing is..now i’m home, it feels a bit better...odd. it wasn’t a particularly stressful day or anything. i know a flu is going around. i hope i don’t have it...that would suck. it’s a long weekend coming up.......for most people.

here's a little crazy carrot update....he now has a friend...lonney lemon. i think they are happy.

monday cake and burritos

ok...i missed a couple of bloging days..lets see where did i leave off??

ah..the weekend!

it was pretty good. the usual sat. went for coffee with wade and danielle. didn’t clean my apartment. then dancing at the legion....same old stuff.

sunday i actually got some errands done before heading off to the “cat power sound check”??...don’t ask..and if you really want to know check out garnet’s blog...he’’ll tell ya all about it!

after that i made my way to abbotsford for some more dancing. i need it....i’m getting a little soft around the middle.

today....monday... back to work...better than last week so far. it would be hard to be worse.

after work i went to the beach with the doggies and garnet...where we ate burritos and pretended to watch the sun set. the doggies loved it and brought lots of sand home for sean....oh..... and garnet fed kimba corn chips...sorry sean!

and thanks for the cake g...it was yummy!

tonight someone called about seeing a cat that looked like mine at the 2000 block of triumph st....a terrible hood...but i decided to go there before dancing and call her name.

i found a cat......
a sweet little thing..but not chloe. it made me feel a little sad b/c it reminded me of chloe when she was young.

i’ve had a few false sightings....it’s making me wonder if i should take the signs down.

rough week...

it was a rough week.....in lots of ways.

i had a massage today....often that makes emotions come out that i’ve been holding in....

but also....sometimes people say or do things that hurt others feelings. often not on purpose...but they do.

there seems to be a rash of that this week at work and otherwise. maybe there is something going on with the moon or something.
as most of you know i’m a sensitive person at times....and things effect me.

we had a whole lot of miss communication and mistakes at work. which made my job oh so much harder.

oh and chloe....i don’t think chloe is coming back. i’m pretty sure. i had a guy tell me yesterday how all sorts of cats have gotten out of people windows in the building....he made it sound like it was my fault. all i could think of was chloe either dead at the bottom of the hill or trying to fend for herself by the train tracks....neither of which makes me feel any better.


and then two other things happened.....things that i don’t what to write about....b/c i don’t what to hurt others feelings.......

thoughts on walks....

i was waiting at a light today at broadway and commercial....watching the people crossing the street. have you ever noticed how many different walks are out there?

it give you a clue into their personality as well as mood.... and if they changed their walk it could change how they look completely.

some people walk moving odd parts of their bodies or not moving parts they should. some people almost look like john cleese and his funny walk and would be really hard to duplicate.
the drug addicts have the weirdest walks...hands down. how do they do that with their heads and arms...and walk at the same time?! i could never do that!

some people walk like they are in pain or sad....some happy..or in hurry. i'll have to look at peoples walks again sometime...it's fun!

what a nice sunday.....

it was a great day for a bike ride and garnet being true to his word as usual and took me out. he has a 1968 bmw. great bike...i really should have a pic of it here. oh well....i'll get one soon. we drove over to the north shore and had a fabulous breaky at savoury island pie co.

afterwards we went for a quick look at a motorcycle show and shine that was going on in gastown...that was cool. i like the old ones though...and there weren’t too many of those.

i want to take motorcycle lessons....maybe get an old vespa or a small bike. that will probably have to be in the spring now b/c it’s late in the season.

after the bike show i had a few appointments...coffee etc....

i went to get a new hole or two put in my body. i got a barbell in my left ear in a place in the cartilage called the rook. it looks great! at least i think so...others my not agree.

he guy who did it was very nice, young and cute...seemed to know what he was up to. his name was cory. it had been a long time since i’ve had anything pierced. they do it totally different now. instead of a gun they use a needle. it’s much cleaner and it didn’t really hurt.

so now i’m relaxing after a nice dinner. i went with garnet and corie (different corie) to a place called guu w/ garlic. a japanese fusion place. it was really good.

ok, i really should clean my apartment now.....or read my next script...or both.

happy anniversery to me....

today is my two year anniversery of doing swing dancing!! i celebrated by doing some dancing of course, at showboat. i was tired, still jet lagged but it was fun anyway. afterwards anne and i met up with garnet, mishi, garbs and sasha for some yummy ice cream....well i had sorbet.

now i'm sleepy...goodnight.

jet lag kicked in...

...big time at about 7:15pm. i was parked in an alley way behind robson and thurlow. i just wanted to cry. i called garn. i had to get the second rendition of missing chloe posters...this time with a pic.... that garnet had very kindly made for me when he should have been working. my last ditch effort to find chloe.

anyway, i went to get the posters and pick up his shoes, i’m going to exchange for him at new balance tomorrow...the shoes i hate. well, maybe not hate....strongly dislike.

anyway,,..he likes them....and i like him. so....am i exchanging them for a different pair? no....i’m exchanging them for the same pair....except newer and at their brightest shade of yellow.

so anyway, back to my story. i go to garn's to get the posters that i was intending on putting up myself. he could see i was tired and an at the verge of tears and very kindly offered to put the posters up for me. i know he was tired too....he worked his 12hrs today.

but i guess that’s what it’s all about isn’t it?

i exchange yellow shoes....and he puts up posters.

walk on the beach before i hop on the plane

i made it home....after two flights and 8hrs of traveling time...and not enough water. because of the new regulations. they won't let you take a botter bottle on the plane...so i was thursty almost the whole trip. other than that it was ok.

i'm a bit tired really and really hungry. luckily i brought a couple of lobsters back with me and i'm going over to garnets soon to throw them on the bbq.....

in some ways i'm glad to be home..wish i didn't have to work tomorrow...crap....

my parents seem to really love it in nova scotia their place is amazing...and they seem really happy and relaxed...it's great. i'm happy for them.

this morning we were awoken by a bunch of penguins on the front lawn at mum and dad’s this morning....they didn’t have 80 pengiuns...but it looked pretty good anyway.

we had an awesome day with a little shopping trip in the afternoon then birthday fun in the evening. i think dad was a bit with the overwhelmed computer and camera! tom, simon and peter will have fun helping him set it up over the rest of the week. i'm back home tomorrow....on a noon flight. just enough time to go for a walk with the dog ont he beach...then to the airport....and back to work wed.

last night we a pre birthday dinner for dad at salties a nice sea food restaurant on the harbour front. it was a nice meal...good service...a fun night all around. si and i when to the pub after for a few pints. not too late a night

so....i think i see why my parents settled here in halifax....the people are super relaxed and friendly .....and their place is pretty amazing. they live in the suburbs of coal harbour...but then they over look this amazing lake....a little piece of paradise.
